Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative will greet you and escort you to your accommodation. After settling in, a briefing will be provided. Spend the night at Dwarika’s Hotel, a tranquil oasis amid busy Kathmandu— a living museum that transports visitors back to the 15th-17th centuries, combining historical ambiance with luxurious, modern amenities. The hotel displays one of the world's most extensive collections of architectural woodwork, seamlessly blending history, culture, and luxury.
After breakfast, our guide will take you to visit the historic monuments. Kathmandu Durbar Square provides a unique experience with its various Hindu temples built in traditional Nepali architecture. You will also have the chance to see the Goddess Kumari, a legend of the Kathmandu Valley. Additionally, Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in Nepal, is a must-see site. Next, we’ll visit Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most revered Hindu temple, along the sacred Bagmati River. At this site, you will observe Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing in the river, and sometimes, funeral pyres burning on the ghats, showcasing the blend of spirituality and tradition.
In the evening, enjoy the beautiful puja Aarati. Aarti is a Hindu religious ritual, part of the larger puja (worship) ceremony, where a light, often from a lamp, is offered to a deity. The term "Aarti" itself means "light" or "worship" in Hinduism. Overnight at Dwarika’s Hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken by private vehicle to the medieval city of Bhaktapur. Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a former royal palace complex from the 14th to 18th centuries. Visit Dattatraya Square, the oldest of the four charming squares in Bhaktapur; Taumadhi Square, which houses the tallest pagoda-style temple in Nepal; and Pottery Square, as its name suggests, filled with pottery works. Then, enjoy lunch in Bhaktapur before driving to Nagarkot for a sunset tour. Overnight stay at Club Himalaya by ACE Hotels, offering comfort above the clouds in Nagarkot.
